McCormick-Hanley Generation No. 1 Thomas Hanley, born in Kilglass Parish, County Roscommon about 1770, died in Kilglass date unknown, He married Mary Dolan, and they had one child that l have found. Generation No. 2 Elizabeth Hanley, born 1804 in Roscommon, died March 7th 1858 in Edinburgh, Scotland, She married in Roscommon Patrick McCormick. who was born in Kilglass in 1800 and died Edinburgh, Scotland May 5, 1876. They had three children that l have found all born in Roscommon. The family removed to Edinburgh during the famine to find work. ln 1998 l paid a visit to Kliglass and talked to a John McCormick, and Patty Cline (who has a McCormick in his tree) their families go back to the time of the famine. lt was very interesting talking to them, as their families stayed and mine left. They showed me the old stone shanty that their family lived in. Generation No. 3 1. Edward Patrick McCormick, b. March 24 1834 Roscommon. married Jan. 11, 1864 in Edinburgh Anna McDonnell, who was born in Roscommon. dau. of Patrick McDonnell. He died April 21, 1912 in Bismarck, ND, and she died 1903 in Bismarck. 2. Patrick McCormick, b. Feb. 1835, d. 1910 St. Louis MO. married in Edinburgh Ann and removed to St. Louis , MO they had children. 3. Catherine McCormick, b. 1841 in Roscommon, married in Edinburgh to Matthew Brennan and had children, Edward Patrick McCormick and his brother Patrick removed to America about 1869. Patrick to St. Louis and Edward found work with the Northern Pacific R/R and ended up in Bismarck, North Dakota. Generation No. 4 Children of Edward Patrick McCormick & Anna McDonnell 1. Edward. b. 1867 in Edinburgh. died Bismarck, no children 2. Patrick. b. 1868 in Edinburgh, no children 3. Katherine, b. 1873, in Bismarck, Dakota Terr. d. Cal. 1966 had Children. 4. James, b. Bismarck, b. 1877 in Bismarck, d. 1935, married but no children. 5. Francis Joseph, b. 1878 in Bismarck, d. 1944 in Bismarck, married had one son (my father) 6. Mary, b. 1880 in Bismarck, d. 1956 in Bismarck, not married 7. Thomas, b. 1881 in Bismarck, d. 1816 in Bismarck, not married 8. John, b. Bismarck 1882, d. UT, no children 9. Rose, b. Bismarck 1885, d. Bismarck 1919, not married 10. Anna. b. Bismarck 1889, d.
